The URVMS Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) is operating for the City of El Paso and is tasked with responsibility for the impoundment and release of vehicles that have been wrecked, in violation of municipal ordinances, or recovered as well as other vehicles involved in various police investigations.

The Vehicle Storage Facility maintains a database to track vehicles that are brought to the Vehicle Storage Impound Lot.

Reclaiming Your Vehicle

To reclaim your vehicle from the Vehicle Storage Facility, you should follow the steps listed below:

Before You Visit — Please Read The Following

Call the VSF at (915) 212-0205 to make sure your vehicle is released for pick-up (some vehicles have a “hold” and cannot be released).

Non-Owners: Call the Vehicle Storage Facility at (915) 212-0205 to learn what additional documents you must bring if you are not the legal, registered owner (on the title) of the vehicle you wish to pick up (if you are acting as an agent for the owner).

The VSF Vehicle Impound Is Open 24 Hours A Day, 7 Days A Week.

  • Vehicles may be claimed 24 hours a day
  • The vehicle’s owner must bring the following to claim a vehicle:
    1. A valid photo issued ID (Federal or State)
    2. Must bring one of the following: Registration, Title or Insurance
    3. The customer is also able to provide a Power of Attorney, Court Order, Rental Agreement and/or a VSF.
    4. Balance owed
    5. Call (915) 212-0205 for additional instruction(s), if owner is unable to claim vehicle

The URVMS Vehicle Storage Facility, in coordination with the City of El Paso, provides an online inventory database to assist vehicle owners in locating and redeeming impounded vehicles. This database allows users to search for vehicle information prior to visiting the facility. Use the link below to access the inventory and obtain details related to your vehicle.

URVMS, in partnership with the City of El Paso, conducts public auto auctions on the second Tuesday of every month. Auctions are conducted online, with bidding opening on Thursday prior to the auction date at 11:00 a.m. and continuing through auction day until all vehicles have been sold.

A public vehicle preview is available on the Saturday before the auction, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the City of El Paso impound facility.

  • Vehicles are sold as-is to the highest bidder.

Participants may begin bidding online once bidding opens on Thursday. A valid, government‑issued ID is required for bidder registration.

URVMS El Paso offers the convenience of online vehicle auctions, allowing participants to review vehicle details, register as an online bidder, and place bids remotely from a home or office computer.

Prospective bidders can access registration information, auction rules and regulations, frequently asked questions, and system requirements using the links below.

POST-AUCTION PAYMENT AND VEHICLE PICK UP PROCEDURE

Vehicle pickup is scheduled after full payment has been received. Once payment is confirmed, URVMS will contact the buyer to arrange pickup. Vehicles may be picked up as early as Wednesday following the auction.

Pickup hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Vehicles not picked up by Friday will incur a storage fee of $20.00/day plus tax per vehicle, beginning the following business day.

Accepted payment methods include wire transfer and online payment by debit or credit card. (Underline) Cash and check payments are not accepted (Underline)

Auction Terms & Conditions
  1. Bidder assumes a legal responsibility to pay for lots sold to him with no exchanges, refunds, or refusal allowed.
  2. All vehicles are offered as is, where is, and become the property and responsibility of the bidder at the time of sale.
  3. No warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made by auctioneers concerning the accuracy of description or conditions of the vehicle.
  4. Winning bidder must pay for the vehicle in full by 1:00 pm the following day of the auction and arrange for removal of the vehicle from auction premises by 4:00 pm on the following day. The auction house is not responsible for theft or damage to the vehicle after the day of the auction.
  5. To purchase a vehicle, you must show a valid United States Driver’s License or ID, or a Passport if you are not a US citizen.
  6. Acceptable forms of payment are by card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover) or by wire.
  7. If a problem arises and the vehicle has to be returned at a police request, we will be responsible for the sale price only.
  8. Auctioneer announcements and decisions from the block take preference over written material.
  9. You are not a person under the age of eighteen years.
  10. You are not an employee of Vehicle Management Solutions, United Road Vehicle Management Solutions, or any of its subsidiaries.
  11. You are not a spouse and/or family member to the third degree of consanguinity of a United Road Vehicle Management Solutions or Vehicle Management Solutions employee.
